Having Problems With Your Resolution Yet???

Just walk into any Super Walmart store after New Years and guess what you will find right at the front of the store?  Think back to the last time you went into Walmart…okay you don’t shop there – you say.  Well, just think about what you think might be there.  If you said, Valentines Day stuff then you’re probably correct but not exactly matching the posting’s question.  Try going to their website and look at their homepage.  You will find all kinds of weight-loss products and home fitness stuff.  I guess those cats at Walmart know the common public that they serve…or uncommon public – don’t want to offend Walmart customers.

There are probably nine million postings on the topic of New Year’s Resolutions and the like.  I am no clinical psychologist, but I feel like I play one here at the credit union at times.  However, I do know a couple of things about New Year’s Resolutions…since I usually break mine on about the 2nd or 3rd of January.

  1. Gotta have a plan…
  2. Gotta work the plan…
  3. Gotta keep working the plan…
  4. Gotta build a bridge every once in a while…  (Get Over It – Bad Days)
  5. Gotta not do several resolutions all at once…
  6. Gotta change your behavior – that’s a hard one.  (If you had an Un-Easy Button, then that is what you would press here.)
  7. Gotta do the “Want-Can-Will” Test…
  • How certain am I that I “Want” to keep this resolution.
  • How certain am I that I “Can” keep this resolution.
  • How certain am I that I “Will” keep this resolution.

Finally, and most important…you gotta attend my financial education seminar on Saturday, January 22, 2011 to find out more.  Just click-on the Classes Tab up top and sign-up…but more importantly.  ATTEND

For those of you who can not attend due to your location, just send me an email and I will forward you my approach.
